Member Appreciation Day – Arapahoe County

Colorado Professionals in Onsite Wastewater is hosting a member appreciation day free to all 2018 CPOW members. The class will include classroom instruction from John Thomas, Executive Director of the Washington On-site Sewage Association (WOSSA). The morning session will be split into two groups. One group will start the day with an inspection of an onsite wastewater treatment system and the other group will start in the classroom. The groups will then switch so that everyone is able to walk through a National Association of Wastewater Technician (NAWT) inspection.
Morning session (done twice to a split group)

1926.650 – Scope, application, and definitions applicable to this subpart. – 15 minutes
1926.651 – Specific Excavation Requirements. – 20 minutes
1926.652 – Requirements for protective systems. – 30 minutes

Afternoon session
1926 Subpart P App A – Soil Classification – 30 minutes
1926 Subpart P App B – Sloping and Benching – 30 minutes
1926 Subpart P App C – Timber Shoring for Trenches – 30 minutes
1926 Subpart P App D – Aluminum Hydraulic Shoring for Trenches -30 minutes
1926 Subpart P App E – Alternatives to Timber Shoring – 15 minutes
1926 Subpart P App F – Selection of Protective Systems – 15 minutes
Case Studies and exercises – 1.0 hour
Discussion and questions – 30 minutes
