The NAWT Operations and Maintenance Training Courses were developed in coordination with Consortium of Institutes for Decentralized Wastewater Treatment (CIDWT). Operations & Maintenance 1 concentrates on the business aspects of O&M and the maintenance requirements for conventional systems including trenches, beds, mounds and at-grade systems with some aerobic tank discussion. Operation & Maintenance 1 is a prerequisite to Operation & Maintenance 2, which concentrates on aerobic tanks, drip irrigation, single pass and re-circulating media filters. Operation & Maintenance 1 is conducted over two days with an exam administered at the conclusion of the second day.
ONLINE Course Cost:
2-day Attendance (Full Certification): $295 for CPOW members and $395 for Non-Members.
1-Day Attendance (Certificate Renewal): $195 for CPOW Members & $295 for Non-Members
*Please note that each registration includes ONE (1) NAWT Certificate or Renewal, and any additional requested renewals are $75/each.

*NAWT Certificates require 8 CEU hours every 2 years to remain current. NAWT CEU hours can be obtained by attending any NAWT-approved course or event.*
CPOW EXAM POLICY:
- If the exam is not passed during the first attempt, a second attempt will be allowed, and will be scheduled after the first attempt. If the second attempt does not result in a passing score, or if the rescheduled exam date is missed with no notification, the participant will need to re-take the full course again, but at the Audit/Observe rate ($210) due to the certification being paid for with the first registration. The registration for the next class will provide for two additional attempts to take the exam to obtain a passing grade.
